2026 Qualification Campaign: Becoming a University Lecturer
[PhD candidates from all disciplines]
The qualification process is a mandatory step to become a university lecturer (“maître de conférences”) or equivalent academic staff.
The ODYSSÉE platform allows candidates to submit and track their qualification application throughout the entire review process.
For all applicants, the 2026 campaign will follow a single phase of registration and submission of required and optional documents, beginning mid-September 2025 and ending on December 15, 2025.
This single closing date applies to all candidates regardless of their thesis defense date. No exceptions will be possible for technical or regulatory reasons.
Potential candidates can already create their account on the ODYSSÉE application : registration here (EN)
- Important: If you intend to apply for the 2026 qualification campaign, it is strongly recommended that you plan your thesis defense early enough to obtain your diploma, defense certificate, and signed defense report before the application deadline. We advise you to defend your thesis no later than early December 2025.
